Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of ceramic that bond directly to the front surfaces of the teeth. When bonded to the teeth, the ultra-thin porcelain veneers are virtually undetectable and highly resistant to coffee, tea, or even cigarette stains. They are an ideal choice for improving your smile and have become increasingly popular due to their simplicity and versatility.

Placing custom veneers requires a high degree of technical skill as well as attention to cosmetic detail. Dr. Bunin places veneers routinely, and designs each case individually to match and enhance the characteristics of each patient's smile.

With proper care, porcelain veneers will brighten your smile for well over a decade. Dr. Bunin will ensure that your veneers are crafted from the highest quality porcelains and are bonded with the most advanced and proven materials available.

Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and onlays are usually made of porcelain that match the natural color of your teeth and are bonded to the damaged area of the tooth.

Traditional fillings can reduce the strength of a natural tooth by up to 50 percent. As an alternative, inlays and onlays, which are bonded directly onto the tooth using special high-strength resins, can actually increase the strength of a tooth by up to 75 percent. In some cases, where the damage to the tooth is not extensive enough to merit an entire crown, onlays can provide a very good conservative alternative.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. The implants are tiny titanium posts, which are placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. In addition, implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing.

Dental implants are changing the way people live! With them, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh and enjoy life.

Bleaching

Having a beautiful smile may be even easier than you think. Many people achieve the look they've been dreaming of with our simple "bleaching" procedure. It's safe, quick, and inexpensive. Just let us know at any appointment if you would like to begin bleaching.

Dental bleaching can be used to correct tooth discoloration. Discolorations can be caused by staining, aging, or chemical damage to teeth. Using the latest in bleaching technology, we can offer a safe method for creating a beautiful "brilliant" smile. In cases of extreme tooth discoloration, crowns or veneers may be the only choice, but because of the low cost of bleaching treatments, bleaching is nearly always worth a solid try.

Crown and Bridgework

Most dentistry looks like dentistry. Our goal is to provide dentistry that is undetectable. Where damage to a person's teeth is extreme, and apparently beyond repair, we can use all porcelain or porcelain “baked on gold” crowns to make the smile appear "as new". This is an extremely reliable technique for repairing the most severe of dental problems. We are renowned for the quality of our work and the fantastic changes we make for people using this technology.

Teeth were designed to complement each other and play an important role in speaking, chewing and in maintaining proper alignment of other teeth. Unusual stresses are placed on the gums and other oral tissues when teeth are missing, causing a number of potentially harmful disorders. Increased risk of gum disease has proven to be one of the worst side effects of missing teeth and can be minimized with a bridge. A bridge also helps support your lips and cheeks, preventing your mouth from sinking in and face from looking older.

Testimonials

Dear Dr. Bunin:

The purpose of this letter is two-fold. I would like to finally express my sincere appreciation for the services that you have provided to me over the past two+ years. I admire you – the knowledge and expertise in your dental practices and kind support that you provided to me have been absolutely incredible.

Secondly, I wish to provide some “one-patient-to-another” insight to any future and potential patients that may be considering dental implants:

When I was (a very young!) 45, due to severe bone loss (even after years of periodontal treatments), my dentist of over 20 years referred me to Dr. Bunin. I immediately trusted his referral because he, personally, received implants and spoke very highly of Dr. Bunin.

I am very glad I went with his recommendation. Absolutely everyone at his office bends over backwards to accommodate personal discomforts, schedules, finances, various health and dental plans, etc.

Initially, and in terms of being financially practical, I decided upon full dentures, without implants. Dr. Bunin patiently worked with me, allaying any fears and unanswered questions, seeking information relating to color and shape preferences….

The finished dentures were, true to Dr. Bunin’s reputation, “works of art.” They were extremely realistic (but looked a heck of a lot better than my previous real teeth). However, and similarly to many people that have gone through this, I absolutely hated the darned bottom denture.

I couldn’t chew correctly (at times, choking on food), food pieces, seeds and/or pepper constantly lodged underneath the denture causing considerable discomfort and the need to excuse myself from the table. And, since adhesives wear out very quickly, I was very self-conscious that slipping or popping up would occur during conversations, yawning and sneezing – I found myself gritting the upper and lowers together when I talked in order to avoid this embarrassment. Meanwhile, my husband remarked that I mumbled at times. Kissing wasn’t much fun, either.

I therefore, and with my husband’s encouragement, decided to go with dental implants for the lower denture… Finally, almost one year after getting the initially hated bottom denture, the implants and the new denture were ready to, quite literally, snap into place. They are amazing. My teeth no longer move, I no longer choke on food or grit my teeth in order to keep everything in place, and I can comfortably eat just about everything (e.g. crabs, steak, hoagies, corn-on-the-cob). And last but certainly not least, kissing is just fine and dandy.

Only denture wearers can possibly appreciate the value of having comfortable talking and eating habits, particularly if these habits no longer exist or are diminished. I encourage everyone that has full dentures, particularly bottom denture wearers, to consider and take advantage of the tremendous option of having dental implants.

Dr. Bunin, I could never thank you enough.

Sincerely,
Sandy

Dear Dr. Bunin:

Now that we are nearing the final completion of my epic dental “adventure," I decided it’s about time I tried to put into words my gratefulness to you, my appreciation and awe of you and what you’ve done for me, and my great respect for you and your giftedness as a Prosthodontist.

I really am quite a different person than when I first came to see you, and what you have done for my teeth -- and my smile -- is no small part of the change that has occurred in me. What you have done to improve my smile is not only evidenced in my appearance, but in my more positive self image, my greater confidence in being with other people, and my ability and inclination to smile or laugh without feeling embarrassed or ashamed.

I don’t know whether my case is radically different from or more difficult that others you’ve worked on, but I can certainly appreciate that it presented many challenges. From my perspective, what you have done is amazing. You are, in my view, an artiste, a master, and a genius at what you do.

As I told you more that once, throughout the process, I trusted you completely and knew I would not be disappointed or let down. That you warrant such trust was apparent in the way you oversaw and coordinated all the many elements of the process and all the people involved. But more meaningful and important to me is the great care you took in every detail -- in getting everything just right -- just perfect. While your knowledge and ability and experience are obvious, so is your commitment to and caring for quality -- and for your patients.

I honestly don’t know how to thank you, Dr. Bunin.
With sincere appreciation and respect,

Andrea

Dear Dr. Bunin:

I am writing this letter in appreciation of the wonderful work you have done for me.

Since you have done the work on my front teeth, I have felt much better about my appearance. I have received nothing but compliments on how beautiful my smile is from both those who know and those who don’t.

I have not experienced any problems with my new crowns except that I can’t stop smiling to show them off!

I would definitely recommend you to anyone who needed this type of work done. You have the special touch were even someone who is terrified of the dentist would be comfortable.

Best of luck to you in the future & thank you again!

Sincerely,

Erika

Dear Dr. Bunin,

A few months ago I was encouraged to come in to see you for a free consultation about my smile. I was initially skeptical. I had always been told that treatment for the front tooth discolorations I had would be both invasive and costly, as well as require re-application every so many years. So I have given up on doing anything about my smile until something other than the current type of bonding would be available.

When I arrived in your office I was immediately put at ease by your manner and excited by the possibilities. I was hopeful that something could be done. I had no idea how much though, nor how easily and painlessly. Within an hour, my front teeth were normal size and devoid of the brown stains they had had since childhood.

I was so amazed I couldn’t stop staring in the mirror. I had a normal smile for the first time with my adult teeth. Any amount of money would have been worth it at that point, but I was assured that consultations are free.

Then I wanted to know what else could be done, since the impossible had been done so ably and seemingly effortlessly. I decided to proceed with bleaching and some more straightening of the tooth edges, this time the bottom teeth. The results are amazing and can only be believed by seeing before photos.

Please accept my deep gratitude for your making a real difference in my smile, and as a result, my self-confidence.

Best regards,

Steve

Dear Dr. Bunin,

I’d like to thank you … and the staff for the care and kindness that was given to me. Through the years, I had a lot of oral work, such as gum surgery, crowns, and root canals. I was always nervous, tense and upset when I went to the offices, mainly because I thought they were unprofessional. Mostly they talked to me like I was 5 years old.

When I came to your office, everything was really professional. I was always relaxed and felt that everyone cared about me and the work they were going to do. The best advice is to relax and have lots of patience. It’s also nice that I’m not embarrassed to talk to people, because I was ashamed of my teeth.

Thank you again for all the work that was done.

Sincerely,

Helen

Dear Dr. Bunin,

Thank you so much for giving of your time to “my dad”. I also would like to tell you I appreciate your patience and having a sense of humor with my father. I gave him his first piece of steak, which he hasn’t eaten in 20 years. Your deeds were so gracious, especially at a time our country is suffering. My dad is a wounded WWII veteran and his brother was killed at age 23. We can’t thank you enough.

Kathleen
